Everyday Office Plant Care Tips
1. Get the right amount of light
Most indoor plants prefer indirect, natural light. Avoid placing them directly under harsh overhead lighting or against radiators. If your space is quite dark, consider shade-tolerant species or ask us about realistic artificial alternatives.
2. Water wisely
It’s easy to overwater. Always check the soil before watering. If the top inch is still moist, wait a few more days. Plants in cooler or air-conditioned offices may dry out slower. Stick to a schedule but adapt for seasons and heat levels.
3. Clean the leaves
Dust builds up quickly in busy commercial settings. Wipe plant leaves gently with a damp cloth every few weeks to help them breathe and photosynthesise better. This also keeps them looking great for visitors and staff.
4. Don’t crowd your plants
Make sure air can circulate around pots and leaves. Crowded plants are more likely to develop mildew or yellowing. If you're unsure about spacing or layout, we’re happy to advise during a consultation.
5. Prune with purpose
Snip off yellowing leaves or leggy stems. Use clean, sharp scissors and cut at the base. Pruning helps the plant redirect energy to healthy growth and keeps the display looking well kept.
